5 TIPS TO CONSIDER IN CASE IT RAINS ON YOUR OUTDOOR WEDDING DAY

Outdoor weddings have an unparalleled beauty. The outdoors can provide a unique and unforgettable experience to you and your guest. However, there’s always a chance of having to go with plan B if it rains.

Since Puerto Rico is an Island with tropical weather, there is abundant rain trough out the year. Many times the weather can be unpredictable, and you have to be ready for it. Here are 5 tips in case it rains on your outdoor wedding day:

Have a positive attitude

You have been planning your wedding for a long time and it can be disappointing that you have to move your wedding indoors because of the rain. However, attitude is everything. In the words of Wade Boggs: “A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It is a catalyst and it sparks extraordinary results”.

Have a Backup Plan

A perfect wedding is all about preparation. Don’t wait for your wedding day to have a plan B. Be ready! Check the weather forecast and don’t lie to yourself. Rain might be disappointing, but you can have a beautiful fun event if you are well prepared.

Plan on having some coverage

There are many options for tented outdoor weddings. From casual to formal tents, these can provide coverage and ensure your outdoor wedding goes as planned even if it rains.

Get an umbrella

Even if the forecast doesn’t call for rain, I always suggest having an umbrella around on your wedding day. You never know when a little rain might hit and it is always good to be prepared. There are some cute umbrellas available that can be used for some really cute wedding pictures.

I can stress enough the importance of hiring a good wedding planner. This can make the difference between a flawless event and chaos.
